Music
Intent
Music is all around us. It is the soundtrack to our lives. Music connects us through people and places in our ever-changing world. It is creative, collaborative, celebratory and challenging. As music reflects the culture and society we live in, the teaching and learning of music at Bakewell Methodist Junior School helps to enable children to better understand the world we live in. The sheer joy of music and sharing in the curiosity and creativity it brings can feeds the soul of our school community. We support children to develop their skills in the subject, to appreciate a wide variety of musical forms, and form their own judgements about the quality of music.
